Pikes peak

After months of anticipation, Sébastien Loeb has shattered the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb record with a breath-taking time of 8m13.878s in the 208 T16 Pikes Peak. The Frenchman negotiated the 20 kilometers and 156 corners of the mountain at an average speed of 145kph.
In keeping with its combative nature, Peugeot has decided to contest the 2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb (Colorado, USA, June 30) which continues to stand out as one of motorsport’s most exacting, internationally-reputed competitions.
Peugeot’s bid to win the unique, Colorado Springs-based event with the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak has led to it joining forces with such key partners as Total, Red Bull, Michelin and Sébastien Loeb.

Le Mans

TOTAL has been involved in the classic Le Mans 24H since 2007, when they started the partnership with Peugeot. The two partners took the challenge to its top in 2010 with a magnificent double victory but the partnership was already established in 2009 with the development of the 908 Hdi FAP cars. Also in 2010, the PEUGEOT TOTAL Team made 3 double victories, at the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 1000 km of Spa-Franco champs and the Petit Le Mans and won the first Intercontinental Le Mans Cup in history.
In 2012 TOYOTA Racing decided to take part in the 90th anniversary edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours. TOTAL became one of the main sponsors to support TOYOTA and their Hybrid system.
Toyota earned a second place at Le Mans 24 Hours after fighting toe to toe with the Audis in a 81st edition.
At the wheel of the TS030 HYBRID N.8, Anthony Davidson, Sebastien Buemi and Stephane Sarrazin gave the Japanese giant the best placement since previous years' participation in 1992, 1994 and 1999.
